A Poor Day

Today hasn’t been a great day, its seemed such a long one right from the start, today is the day my good friend Dave “Becky” went into surgery to have his brain tumour removed (see “A Friend in Hospital & My Holiday Ends Here”), I just couldn’t get my head into work today for wondering how he is doing. I haven’t heard anything yet either, neither has another friend who I texted and who has been in contact with him on a regular basis.

Then I got a headache which just seemed to get worse as the afternoon wore on, bit of stress there perhaps, I’d had enough by 3:00 pm and had the flexi time in so came home a little early. When I got home I had this stinking headache still, I also felt a little light headed and dizzy, don’t know where that came from, so I had a lie down and went to sleep for a while.

Its now 11:00 pm, I only have a little headache now, still haven’t heard any news about Becky from Newcastle and I’m bloody tired and pis**d off so I think I’m gonna go to bed very shortly and hope to sleep, with a bit of luck I’ll get some good news about Becky tomorrow.

Anyway that’s my day done, I’ll say bye for now and see ya next time folks.

I know those day, they come and go, but happily enough they are not all too common, neither with me nor you (?).
Hope your friend is doing all right now.

    Hey Kev,
Fingers crossed for your mate. Hope all went well and he’ll be up and about in time to join you for the fun run ;-)

    Hello Kevin

    Sending you ((((hugs))))

You could perhaps take a leaf from buddhism here, you can’t change the world, but you can prepare yourself to handle the changes life sends you.

Easily said but perhaps one to meditate on?

    Blessings
