Challenge Cup Semi-Final Draw
Following the last of the Challenge Cup quarter finals today the draw was made for the semi finals, the games drawn were as below.
Wigan Warriors V Warrington Wolves
Saint Helens V Huddersfield Giants
These will take place on the weekend of the 8th and 9th of August 2009, venue’s and times yet to be announced.
The draw follows a weekend of quarter finals during which Huddersfield beat Castleford 16 – 14 in a tight but scrappy game, Hull KR were pipped to the post in a tight game by Warrington in extra time 24 – 25, Saint Helens slaughtered National League Gateshead Thunder 6 – 66 and of course the wonderful Wigan Warriors beat Salford 28 – 6.
So the Warriors meet Warrington in the next round at a so far unknown venue, Gareth and I are hoping to be there to (with luck and a following wind) see them win through to the final at Wembley Stadium.
